Connecting the dots …
Digital health technology has become ubiquitous, and it presents many opportunities to improve
health care management, personalize care, and increase in patient engagement. Librarians have a
valuable role in providing digital health technology services to both consumers and health care
professionals.
Over the years, B B Dixit library is an important arm of All India institute of Medical Sciences i.e.,
AIIMS New Delhi. The library is open 24x7 round the clock to provide extensive Knowledge and
Information Services to the doctor’s fraternity. The library subscribes to enormous number of
resources in the field of health, biomedical and life sciences areas. The library is completely
automated, and the enormous number of resources are subscribed by the library are accessible by
the doctor’s fraternity using remote access platform.
Because of this, B B Dikshit library has played an important role to augment in knowledge
enhancement of the doctor’s fraternity of All India institute of Medical Sciences. It has played an
important role even in research and innovation of the institute and over the years there is a rise in
the research output by the by the doctors of All India institute of Medical Sciences. To showcase the
various activities resources and services of Dikshit library, first time we have brought out this
electronic newsletter, which will provide a glimpse of the various activities taken up the B B Dikshit
library during the Covid 19. This is an effort done by the B B Dikshit library team and I'm sure in the
subsequent issues of the digital health connect newsletter, we are going to bring in lot of important
snippets or information related to digital health connect.
