displaced and bonded labour
Over the past 60 years, BSA has
established rapport with the people
living in villages in the four community
development blocks of south Sonbhadra.
A three tier people's organisation, Gram
Swarajya Sanghatan or GSS, has been
established to promote people's initiative
for community development at village
level, at village development centre level
and at Ashram level. GSS has played an
instrumental role in strengthening
democracy at the grass-root level and
promoted people's participation in
community development.
Ashram Programs
Over the years, Ashram has been governmental and national /
carrying out variety of short and international funding agencies. In fact,
medium term (three to five years) most of the long term programmes of
projects in association with Ashram have grown out of series of
governmental as well as non- multiple such projects:
