Davis Shore Ferry Service offers vehicle and passenger service to Cape Lookout National Seashore. Their ferry leaves from Davis, NC to South Core Banks (Great Island) and return. Ferry service, ice, bait, tackle, and other supplies are available through Davis Shore Ferry Service. Ferry service operates March 16–December 31 excluding December 24–26 (weather permitting).

Bear Town Bears, a local non-profit organization, generated the idea for public enjoyment in celebration of New Bern’s 300th Anniversary. Explore downtown while enjoying a game of “Where on the Bear”, an interactive bear hunt for all ages. Pick up a free map at any visitors center with clues for discovery of hidden features on each bear.
