The New Bern Aquatics Center Complex is an exciting destination for people in all walks of life. Hours of fun may be found with the interactive water features, slides, swim lanes, a large deck, and concessions. A full-time certified pool operator is on duty, as well as lifeguards and facility staff. The complex can also be reserved for parties and functions of all kinds.

CROATAN NATIONAL FOREST

With 160,000 acres of pine forests, saltwater estuaries, bogs, swamps, and pocosins, the Croatan National Forest is not
to be overlooked. Adventure lies at every corner inside this beloved natural resource gem. Three sides are bordered with tidal rivers and the Bogue Sound. Camping and day-use areas abound and can be reserved with proper notice. Every activity imaginable is possible including fishing, hiking, horse riding, canoeing, hunting, and picnicking. Many types of wildlife find their home in the forest and are comprised
of deer, black bears, turkeys, birds, ospreys, and alligators. Not forgetting the carnivorous Venus fly-trap, sunder, and pitcher plant.
The Croatan Ranger district is available to assist in any matter that visitors may have. The Croatan National Forest is one of four National Forests in North Carolina and the only true coastal forest in the East. Taking time to visit this adored land is sure to create a cherished memory.

A one-half acre recreation area at the juncture of the Neuse River on Avenue A. Donald Miller Park serves the needs of the surrounding neighborhood and contains picnic tables and park benches.
