There has been an amateur theatre group in Carteret County since the fall of 1948. The theatre group found success putting together productions of historical plays featuring local figures, which kept the theatre successful. In 1994, a children’s theatre program started with the help of the Missoula Children’s Theatre, which introduced local children to the magic of theatre. In the past 68 years, the Community Theatre has performed over 160 productions, and hope to continue bringing the community more magic. For shows and events visit website.
