This annual world-class international senior sporting event, hosts thousands of countries across the globe. The Games provide over 30 sports from basketball to triathlon, and no pre- qualifying is necessary. Open to men and women ages 50+, the Games offer competition, entertainment, and social activities, as well as important health screenings.
The Huntsman World Senior Games were founded in 1987 by Daisy and John H. Morgan, Jr., owners of the Hilton Inn, with the goal of promot- ing peace, health, and friendship through athletic competition. Jon M. Huntsman, Chairman of the Board
of the Huntsman Corporation, also recognized the Games’ value in foster- ing lifetime fitness and became its principal sponsor in 1989. The great success of the Games is the result of thousands of volunteers and scores of sponsors who provide financial and other support.

St George
Ironman is one of the most challenging events in the world of sports and also one of the most inspiring. Ironman 70.3 features a 1.2 mile swim, a 5.6 mile ride, and a 13.1 mile run, all in succession. Athletes have 8 hours and 30 minutes to complete the event.
The swim will be through the Sand Hollow Reservoir, and the bike and run will be throughout the county with excellent views of downtown St. George, Snow Canyon, and Red Cliffs Desert Reserve. It will be open to 2,500 participants. The striking scenery and contrasting landscapes of the St. George area provide a spectacular setting for such an event.
The St. George race will be a qualifier with 75 slots for the 2019 Ironman 70.3 World Championship, which will be held in Nice, France.
