Coyote Gulch Art Village is a growing enclave of art galleries, artist studios, a café, an arboretum, and a labyrinth. The Village is an art center teaching painting, ceramics, and photography, or just a place to relax and explore. Concerts and festivals are also a part of the village. “Art in Kayenta,” held President’s Day Weekend, is a beloved event. The juried art festival attracts
a broad spectrum of artists. “Desert Bloom Festival,” features artists that create whimsical, and functional works of art designed with a garden theme.
The Coyote Gulch Art Village is open to the public seven days a week.

DOCUTAH is presented by Dixie State University and therefore provides
us the opportunity to reach out to students and the community with filmmaker seminars and panels. Documentary films engage minds and have the potential to educate and entertain. Citizens are invited to attend and learn more about the art of filmmaking and also gain insight into the subject matter chosen for the films. DOCUTAH isn’t just a film festival . . . it’s a five day party and every event is one not to be missed.

For over 50 years, Dixie State University Celebrity Concert Series (CCS) has brought annually over a dozen world-class professional artists to St. George from October through April. All concerts are held in the Cox Performing Arts Center and include Broadway musicals, orchestras, dance companies, opera, jazz symphony, and soloists and ensembles. Season memberships are available.

Dixie State University’s spectacular 1,500-seat outdoor Amphitheater, tucked beneath the magnificent cliffs of Zion National Park in Springdale, presents performing arts series during the summer months. It features many artistic avenues including symphony, bluegrass, dance, jazz, and comedy.

The Southern Utah Heritage Choir was organized in 1994 and performs wholesome music from many styles, periods, and geographical locations of the world. The musical emphasis is on sacred hymns and anthems. The choir performs locally in the historic St. George Tabernacle, and has performed in many international locations including the Czech Republic, Armenia, Mexico, England, and China.
