From 1870–1877, President Brigham Young of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints lived in St. George during the winter months. Today
this historic site is open to the public year-round. The home and office have been restored to reflect their 1870s appearance.

This museum features an excellent collection of artifacts belonging to settlers of Utah’s southwest desert. These items depict the character of life in Utah’s “Dixie” from its early
settlement. The museum is owned and operated by the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, whose members volunteer their time to manage and maintain the museum.

The St. George Dinosaur Discovery
Site at Johnson Farm represents a “snapshot” of a 195 million year
old lake ecosystem. It is one of the most important discoveries in Early Paleontology. Please come and visit the St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm for a unique experience, and travel back in time to walk along the shoreline of an Early Jurassic lake!

Bradshaw House

This historical house is a model of early Hurricane home construction and contains early medical histories, a doll collection, a blacksmith shop, farm equipment, and a barn.

Jacob Hamblin, Southern Utah Mission President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, lived with his family from 1863 to 1868 in Santa Clara, Utah. Their home served as the headquarters for the mission. The chapel’s first floor was often used as
a community center and schoolroom, while the second functioned as the primary worship space. Today it is a historic site, open for public tours. The home has been restored to reflect the 1860s style, and tours educate visitors about Hamblin’s life on the frontier of the southern Utah Territory.
