 11–Quail Creek State

Only 11 miles northeast of
St. George, Quail Creek State Park boasts some of the warmest waters in the state and a mild winter climate. The park provides excellent year-round camping, picnicking, boating, and trout and bass fishing in sunny southwest Utah.
Quail Creek Reservoir lures boaters and anglers year-round. Spend a day on the water or visit a nearby state or national park, then retire to a campsite in a spectacular red rock desert setting. Facilities include 23 campsites, modern restrooms, fish cleaning station, and two covered group-use pavilions. Park Hours: Year-round 7am to 9pm. Park fees required.
12–Gunlock State

Gunlock Rd, Gunlock
In scenic red rock country lies Gunlock Reservoir where boating, water sports, and quality fishing for bass and catfish attract visitors. The reservoir is rimmed with ponderosa pine and trails leading to alpine meadows and pine forests. A mild winter climate makes Gunlock State Park a year-round destination.
The park is available year-round
from 7am to 8pm with no holiday closures. Park fees required.
Gunlock State Park is located 15 miles northwest of St. George via Highway 91, past Santa Clara and Shivwits.
13–Sand Hollow State Park and Reservoir

Sand Mountain, located between
St. George and Hurricane, has long been a popular playground for people with dune buggies, dirt bikes, and 4-wheelers. Now, the sparkling water of the reservoir laps at its base, and modern campgrounds and picnic areas have been developed adjacent to the beaches.
With its warm, blue waters and red sandstone landscape, Sand Hollow has become one of Utah’s most popular parks. Boat and fish on Sand Hollow Reservoir, explore and ride the dunes of Sand Mountain on an off-highway vehicle, then RV or tent camp in the new campground. The reservoir offers good populations of bass and bluegill.
The park hours are April to September 6am to 10pm and October through March from 7am
to 9pm. Park entrance gates closed from 10pm to 6am, so please plan accordingly. From I-15 take Hurricane Exit 16. Travel four miles to Turf Sod Road and turn right. Go one mile and turn left onto the main park access road and follow to the park. There is an entrance fee.
14–Coral Pink Sand

Visitors will wonder at the shifting arcs of crescent-shaped dunes and fine, salmon-colored grains at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. The Park encompasses 3,730 acres of southern Utah’s color country. The park is breathtaking, with coral- colored dunes, surrounded by red sandstone cliffs, blue skies, and deep emerald forests.
The sweeping expanse of dunes is a playground for hiking, off-highway vehicle riding, or just playing in
the sand. Off-road enthusiasts will find 1,000 acres of play area and hundreds of miles of trails in the nearby vicinity.
Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park
is a wonderful respite for those touring the Grand Circle or heading to southern Utah for a vacation. Park facilities include a 22-unit campground, modern restrooms, hot showers, sewage disposal station, a boardwalk, overlook trails, and a nature trail. The park is 12 miles off U.S. Hwy 89 near Kanab.
