We finally get the menagerie calmed and back in their cages. I head back to the
cabin only to find Lillie gone and to be confronted by the sinister monkey which turns
on me, hisses and dives out the cabin window.
I run out on deck to see Lillie teetering on the gunwale in a trance like state. Running
over I grab her just as she steps off. I splash cold water on her face and bring her
round. As the daze fades from her eyes, she cries out and grabs me close crying into my
shoulder.
It is a beautiful day and we take a walk along the shore. We come to a large natural
pool & Lillie asks if I can keep guard as she strips to her undergarments for a swim.
She catches me looking and pushes me off the rocks, playfully saying “No peeping Doctor!”
