Service Credit Matters:

Did you know that in certain instances you can purchase service credit?
Possible types of service credit purchases include:

Unpaid Leave of Absence

Military Service

Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, AmeriCorps VISTA

Service with a CalPERS-covered employer prior to becoming a
member such as temporary employment with the County.

·Redeposit of Withdrawn Contributions

If you qualify for any of the service purchase options above, review the
CalPERS Service Credit Purchase Options publication, contact CalPERS
at 1-888-225-7377, or log into your MyCalPERS account to start the
process.
