based on other laws. Some exist only because God wills them to. An example of this is the nucleus of
an atom. We know like charges repel one another. Yet, bundled in every atom are a bunch of protons,
all positively charged, yet they remain clumped together.

               The Laws of Logic
All the laws of nature depend on the laws of logic. Like mathematics, the laws of logic are transcendent
truths. For example, the law of noncontradiction says that if something is true, it cannot also be false.
For example, Jesus said He was the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. And that no man would come to God
except through Him. That statement cannot be both true and false. Either Jesus is THE WAY and only
way, or He is not. The laws of logic came from the mind of God.

The atheist cannot account for the laws of logic, even though he must accept him to live in any kind of
rational world. The atheistic worldview is that moral law does not exist. Good is only good in the mind
of each person. A terrorist may think that killing people is good. Hitler thought that killing Jews was a
good thing. If goodness and evil are based on what the majority thinks, then this type of thinking defies
logic. Good and evil must be based on some truth outside of ourselves!

The Laws of Uniformity of Nature
The Laws scientists observe throughout the universe are always applied to wherever they look and most
certainly will continue to be reliable tomorrow. They do not arbitrarily change; they apply through the
whole observable cosmos from the smallest part of the matter to the vast galaxies. They will be here in
the future just as they have been in the past. They have not changed. We depend on the Laws of
Uniformity using the scientific method of observation and experimentation. If we obtain the same
results today as yesterday, we can be more certain that the same results will occur in the future. Science
is constructed on the Laws of Uniformity of Nature.

Since God is the Creator, as Genesis declares, His creation is a reflection of who He is and His mind. We
fully expect the universe to be organized in a logical, orderly fashion and to obey uniform laws because
the universe was created by the power of God.

God’s logic is built into the universe, and so the universe is not haphazard or arbitrary. It obeys laws of
chemistry that are logically derived from the laws of physics, many of which can be logically derived
from other laws of physics and laws of mathematics. The most fundamental laws of nature exist only
because God wills them to; they are the logical, orderly way that the Lord upholds and sustains the
universe He has created. The atheist is unable to account for the logical, orderly state of the universe.
Why should the universe obey laws if there is no lawgiver? But laws of nature are perfectly consistent
                                                                                 xiv
with biblical creation. In fact, the Bible is the foundation for natural laws.

Genesis – a book of origins

In Genesis, we find the most accurate and authoritative account of the origin of:

               A. Origin of the universe
The book of Genesis is alone as an account of the actual creation of the space-mass-time continuum of
the physical universe. Genesis 1:1 is unique in all of literature, science, and philosophy. All other forms
of thought or systems of cosmogony start with eternal matter or energy in some form, from which other
