left” verses (Matt. 24:36-41) as describing the Rapture when the righteous are taken off the earth while
the wicked are left. This suggests a mid-tribulation viewpoint. It would look like this:

Post-tribulation View
According to this viewpoint the church will be present on earth during the entire tribulation period. This
view believes the Rapture of the church, to meet Jesus Christ in the air, will happen immediately before
the second coming of Jesus Christ. The church would meet Jesus Christ in the air and then immediately
return to the earth together with Jesus Christ. These two events are expected to occur in quick
succession at the close of that period. It would be diagrammed as follows:
2 Coming

Partial Rapture View
The partial rapture view teaches that only those believers who are worthy (those watching and waiting)
will be taken out of the world before the tribulation begins, while others will be left to endure the
wrath. The Rapture will happen several times. (before, during, and after the tribulation) We might show
this view in the following manner:

Pre-wrath Rapture View
A relatively new view called the Pre-wrath Rapture view teaches that the rapture of the church will
occur about sixty days before the second coming of Jesus Christ, just in time for the church to escape
the last sixty days of intense wrath that God pours out on the earth.
