Activity: Melchizedek is mentioned in this chapter referencing Jesus Christ’s order in the
priesthood. We read about his appearance to Abraham in Gen. 14:17-20. Take time to go
back and read this passage. What made Melchizedek unique among priests in Abraham’s
day? Why do you suppose that Abraham offered him a tithe of the booty of the war with the
Northern Kings? Why would Jesus be connected to this priest?
