Conclusions.
1. Christ’s sacrifice was a substitute for our sin.

This work of atonement is the glorious work of Jesus to save a lost world that had no hope. This was not
the end of Jesus work in the past. Jesus not only had to die. He had to be raised to life again proving He
had conquered death.
The Resurrection. The resurrection of Christ functions as the guarantee of our redemption and future
resurrection. In short it is the guarantee of salvation. Christ prophesied His own death and claimed He
could raise Himself from the dead. If he could not raise Himself, how can He raise us? N.T Wright affirms
