Let’s get Personal …
Activity: The bible says the heart is desperately wicked against God and who can know it?
(Jeremiah 17:9). Sometimes we can justify sin in our lives with excuses. But we must realize that sin has
consequences! We can be practicing evil and not really see it. For example, you may watch a movie or
things on television that you KNOW are wrong. The contents are contrary to godliness, yet you continue
to watch it. You are practicing sin, yet you justify it as “everyone else watches these kinds of things and
think nothing of it.” Not only are you wasting your precious time, but you are feeding your soul with
ideas and actions that fly in the face of God’s Word.
Philippians 4:8, KJV: "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are
honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are
lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any praise, think on these things."
Psalm 101:3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside;
it shall not cleave to me.
