P. 24
He recognizes his purpose and even the purpose of the names of his sons…for ‘signs and wonders’, for a
declaration to Israel, from God Himself.
V. 19-20 Mediums and wizards, …people choose the road that leads to these things when the peaceful
tranquil waters of Shiloah, the truth of God, is right there. We should be seeking God and His will and
His word, not all these other options. ‘There is no light in them’. Jesus is the light…
V. 21-22 Even those who choose another path will blame God when they are ‘hungry’, when the path
they are on doesn’t lead where they thought that it would. They will look upward and shake their fist
and wonder where God is now, when they never gave Him a thought prior to this.
Then they will look back down to the path they have chosen and see nothing but trouble, darkness,
gloom, and anguish. We may see those things as well, but we have a hope that was not found on any
other path than the one God wanted us to take. The road less taken.
