19.5 Let’s Personalize this Lesson…
What are your greatest discouragements and fears in ministry? Are you afraid of opposition
(21:37-23:11), accusations (21:17-36), and undeserving sufferings (23:12-35)? You have
arrived at the right place. The simple explanation to your fear is that though you may have
the calling upon your life, you need to take one more step, that is, to give yourself fully by
faith. That is when you will experience the power of absolute surrender coming your way. When one
is completely surrendered to God, there is great power available to accomplish God’s purposes. Paul
is your greatest example. Possibly, your oppositions may not be as extreme as Paul’s; you may not
have visions of Jesus appearing to you. But certainly, you will receive adequate comfort and
encouragement from God by many other means so you may accomplish his purposes. Go for it!
