7. How does Luke demonstrate his missiological purpose in his writing?

Greater interest draws us to Luke’s purpose of writing. Luke is a typical example of a
gentile believer (just like you and I), who was not an eyewitness on some of the events
(just like you and I), but did not say he had nothing to do with those events were he was
not present. Instead, aimed at fulfilling the great commission by carrying out his own
investigations from trustworthy sources to give us Historic, pastoral, evangelistic, missiologic, and
apologetic message with passion. Since today we already have the trustworthy sources in the bible,
in this case the book of Acts, which gives us the aftermath of the ascension of Christ, we too if are
willing and obedient to be part of fulfillment of the great commission (just like Luke), we need to take
our own investigation which is now far much easier. Use any of Luke’s purposes for the expansion of
the kingdom of God.
