10.6% had their first doubts in college
“What a reminder to parents (and Christian leaders) to do exactly what God’s Word instructs us to do---
2
to ‘train up a child in the way he should go.” (Prov. 22:6).
“Sadly, I think many see children’s programs as entertainment, teaching Bible stories, and so on, but
when they get older, we need to think about preparing them somehow for college---but as our research
3
showed, by then they are already gone! For most, it was basically too late!”
So, we wonder…. Can an anti-God civilization survive much longer? If not, why not? And if so, there
must be a spiritual turn around. What then can be done?
1.4 Let’s Practice…
1 - 2. According to Matthew 28: 19-20, how is discipleship accomplished?
3. Of the population in the world, what percentage claim to be Christians (Catholic, Greek
Orthodox, and Protestants)?
4. Matthew 28 is often called the “Great Commission” but the church today seems to be
practicing the “Great ___________________”
5. What percentage of young people today who once attended church are now “disengaged” in their
walk with Christ?
1.5 Let’s Personalize this Lesson…
Activity: We need to take Christ’s command to heart. Let’s memorize Matthew 28: 19-20 and
then write it below from memory:

3 Ibid. (There is a lot more in Ken Ham’s small book, Already Gone, for those who are interested enough to obtain
a copy and study it.)
