fitted for survival (survival of the fittest). Over billions of years, millions of changes are multiplied to
                  produce all life forms today.

This view was promoted by Charles Darwin in the 1800’s and is now the major view promoted in
museums, science books, colleges and universities. He promoted the idea of evolution.

Evolutionists believe in Uniformitarianism. Uniformitarianism is a geological (having to do with earth
formations) doctrine. It states that current geologic processes, occurring at the same rates observed
today, in the same manner, account for all of Earth's geological features. Thus, it assumes that
geological processes are essentially unchanged today from those of the unobservable past, and that
there have been no cataclysmic events in earth's history. As present processes are thought to explain all
past events, the Uniformitarian slogan is, "the present is the key to the past."
The Bible predicts this belief will fill the earth in the last days:

                3
Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their
own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all
                         4
continues just as it was from the beginning of creation." For when they maintain this, it escapes their
                                                                  5
notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and
               by water. 2 Peter 3:3-5

Some “Christians” have tried to blend the Genesis account and evolution, stating
that both are true with some modifications. Pastor John MacArthur, in The
Battle for the Beginning said, “Absolutely nothing in the text of Genesis 1:1-2:3
speaks of evolution or long geologic ages in creation process. The text itself is in
fact a straightforward refutation of all evolutionary principles. Theistic evolution,
billion-year-old-earth theories, and ‘progressive creationism’ are all refuted if we
simply take the statements of Genesis at face value.”

The greatest problem between what evolutionists believe and the Creation account, which makes it
impossible to believe both, is the problem of death. For evolution to have occurred over millions of
years, the weak animals died and the strong survived (“survival of the fittest”) in order to pass on a
new characteristic which advantaged that animal over others. The strong survived and the weak died.
Millions of years of death are required for evolution to be possible.

The Bible clearly states that the original creation was good and perfect. There was NO death on earth.
Man lived among the garden and animals in perfect harmony and in communion with God. Then sin
entered the world. And when Adam sinned, he brought death into the world.

Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in
this way death came to all people, because all sinned—

So death came AFTER all the creation as we know it was completed. You cannot believe both in
               Creation and Evolution!

Hebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand that the world was made at God’s command, so that what is seen
was not made out of what was visible” The all-powerful God created something out of nothing (ex
nihilo). But then God did use previously created materials to form the bodies of living things
               (Gen.2:7,18-22).
