P. 126
We can assume that not many people who are surviving believers in Christ will be alive to be judged as
sheep and allowed entrance into the Millennial Kingdom with normal bodies which are capable of
reproduction.
All of the saints who have died from the Old Testament period, the New Testament period, and the
Tribulation period will be resurrected with glorified bodies, which according to the teaching of Jesus, are
not capable of reproduction (Matt. 22:29; Luke 20:34-36).
It is necessary that those living believers coming into the Millennial Kingdom with normal physical
bodies, capable of reproduction, will do so in order to fill the earth so that all nations will bring their
tribute to Jesus Christ and be ruled by Him.
Children born during the millennial kingdom will have the responsibility of faith in Christ as all people of
past ages have (faith in Christ since His coming; faith in God before—Genesis 15:2-6; Habakkuk
2:4; Romans 3:20). Unfortunately, not all of the children that are born during the millennial kingdom will
come to faith in Christ. Those that do not will be led away by Satan into rebellion against God at the end
of the millennial kingdom when Satan is let loose for a short time (Revelation 20:7-10).
The land which was originally promised to Abraham and his descendants forever, will be divided
between the twelve tribes of Israel. They will live in the land and help Jesus Christ rule the earth.
What will it be like to live during the Millennium?
Jesus Christ will reign during the Millennium for 1000 years. Six times in Revelation 20:2-7 the kingdom
is specifically said to be 1000 in length. Jesus will establish Himself as King in Jerusalem, sitting on the
throne of David (Luke 1:32-33). He will rule in righteousness and love, but He will also rule with total
authority. Zechariah 14 tells us that He’ll rule the world with a rod of iron and His punishment for
disobedience will be harsh and swift. For example, nations who refuse to participate in the annual Feast
of Tabernacles will not receive any rainfall (Zech. 14:16-19).
The Bible gives us but a glimpse of what it will be like living
during the Millennium. We know people will need to come to
faith during this time, and many do not, just as today. We know
that Satan will be bound by chains in the abyss during this time,
so he will not be free to deceive people. We also know that there
will be perfect peace among the nations and even the curse of
the creation will be lifted. The lion will lay down with the lamb.
Harvests will be so plentiful that it will be time for planting a new
crop before they can finish bring the old crop in (Amos 9:13).
Perfect weather and overflowing bounty will make work a joy
instead of a burdensome toil. Long life spans will return as sickness and disease again become rare
occurrences (Isaiah 65:20). The cities will be filled with boys and girls playing there (Zech. 8:4-5). Jesus
Christ will settle all disputes between the nations. They will not take up arms against each other, nor
will they even train for war anymore (Isaiah 2:4). Every man will sit under his own vine and under his
own fig tree and no one will make them afraid (Micah 4:4).
The only holidays will be the Passover, Unleavened Bread, and the Feast of Tabernacles (Ezekiel 40-46).
