First, he engages the woman.
Second, asks her to tell him what God has said.
Third, he tells the woman that what she says is not the truth. He calls God a liar.
Fourth, he tells her a half truth.
Fifth, he backs off and lets the woman be led away by her own inward lusts.

It was at this point in time that death entered the world. Death meant that the Laws of

study these laws in more detail, but basically all creation was cursed and started dying. God’s creation
began to “groan” as the systems in the bodies began to fail. Animals and plants began to die. Adam and
Eve began to age and their bodies began to break down and become weaker. Eventually their bodies
ceased to function, and they died. They sinned and passed the nature to sin to all their progeny.

                                   The Fall of Man

In just a few generations from Adam and Eve, mankind’s heart turned from God to practice
               wickedness continually.

               Genesis 6: 5-8
5 The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the
thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the LORD regretted that he had made man on the

have made them.” But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. (ESV)
