Learning requires access to the resources that promote learning. A local library could be a tremendous
help in providing resources that will enhance your curriculum. Ideally, it would also be helpful for the
church to provide a small library with the following bible study aids:

Bible dictionaries
Bible commentaries
Word study books
Concordances
Bible atlases
Theology books
Study Bible with study aids

The church could also be a tremendous blessing to the home in providing training to parents on rearing
children and methods of instruction. Also, the church needs to have an ongoing program of teacher
training to assist those who are involved in the various teaching ministries of the church. Most people
selected to teach at church are not already highly qualified and trained so the results would be less than
desired. Small group instruction to these teachers would help them learn new skills to apply on a
weekly basis.

AIU offers two courses entitled, Bible Study Methods and Teaching Principles and Methods which could
be used as a resource to provide teacher training at the church. The church could also encourage each
teacher to enroll in one or both of these courses to take via AIU’s distance learning program. For

or information about the program.
