So if you really want to be a great teacher, walk with Jesus. Become like Him. Then you can stand as an
example to your students and say, “Be like me as I am like Christ!”

               2.4 Let’s Practice…

                         1. Why is it important for a teacher to know his students?

                         2. Typically how much time would a good teacher spend preparing to teach a 30-minute
                         class?

                         3. What does it mean for a teacher to think “outside the box”?

               4. Why is it important to spend time in prayer when preparing a lesson?

               5. Define a “tic”:

               6. Why can’t a hypocrite become an effective teacher?

               2.5 Let’s Personalize this lesson…

Activity: Today we studied about “tics.” Everyone has them. Some are cute, but some are
detrimental to teaching. Most people don’t realize they have them. I want you to
carefully think about how you interface with people and try to identify a tic you might
have. List it here and also list how you might get rid of it.
