4. According to Colossians 1, which person of the Godhead was the creator?

               5. What is it called that a number of unknown writers compiled the book of Genesis over many years of
               time?

               2.5 Let’s Personalize this Lesson…

The Bible says that not only was Jesus Christ the Creator of all things, but in Colossians 1:17 it
says that “he is before all things, and by him all things consist (or are held together).” You
know that an atom consists of protons, which are positively charged, neutrons (neutral) and
electrons which are negatively charged. The nucleus of the atom is composed of of protons and
neutrons all bundled together in close proximity.

If you have ever held two like poles of a magnet toward each other, you will remember that the
magnets will push away from each other. That’s because LIKE charges repel one another. So, how do all
those protons which are all positively charge particles, stay together in the nucleus of an atom. They
should push away from one another. Scientists really don’t understand how they stay together. The
atom, which makes up all matter, should be very unstable, and not naturally stay together. But it does.
That’s because the Bible says that Jesus Christ, by an act of his power, holds every atom together.

We have an amazing God! There are 7,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 atoms in your body,
alone. There are 10 to the eighth power (10 with 90 zeros after it) atoms in the known universe. That’s
a lot of atoms to hold together!

How about taking a few minutes to praise the Lord for His great power? He is an amazing God!
