To be an effective at Biblical counseling, it is essential to understand who you are in Christ and why you
are the person you are (personality traits, temperament, thoughts, interests, likes, dislikes, skills, etc.)
Knowing yourself impacts those you help! By the end of this course, you will understand more about
who you are as well as how people around you function.
To refer back to Biblical Counseling I: “If we are to be of any real help to others, we must first learn to
preach the gospel to ourselves as our own means of help. We can only deliver to others what we have
first received” (1 Corinthians 15:3, 2 Corinthians 1:4, Hebrews 4:14-16).
