Study Section 13: The Book of Zephaniah
13.1 Connect
Don’t you enjoy singing and worshiping the Lord together at church? Singing is a special gift
God gives to some who can raise their voices and lift our spirits to God. Job 38:7 says that
“while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy.” Revelation 5
says that angels sing a new song to honor the Lord of hosts. People sing, angles sing, and
star sing. But did you know that God himself sings? In this book, we will discover not only
the God sings, but that He sings for a reason. Probably one of the wonderful things about
heaven will be the singing emanating from all of God’s created beings to worship the Lord, but perhaps
we will also enjoy hearing God sing to us as a mother sings to her baby. Something to look forward to!
Let’s learn about singing in this wonderful book….
