               Fifth, in light of the new birth caused by God’s great mercy that produced in them some
               results, Peter’s audience needed to crave for the Word of God (1 Pet. 2:2-3). “Instead of
               continuing in their old vices, Christians” were “to crave what nourishes spiritual growth for themselves
