Activity: In Galatians we are taught that we will reap what we sow. That means if you sew good seed,
you will reap a good harvest. But if you sew rotten seed, you will reap in return no fruit or rotten fruit.
Think about the story of Joshua taking the people to the Valley of Shechem, putting 400,000 people on
Mt. Ebal and 400,000 people on Mt. Gerizim. He had those on Mt. Gerizim read the blessings they
would receive if they obeyed God. Then he had those on Mt. Ebal read the curses they would
experience if they disobeyed God.

The same promise works today. If we are a blessing to others, we will be blessed. If we give to others,
we will receive. But is we are self-absorbed and selfish, we will get back nothing of value. Which person
are you? Think of ways you can be more “other focused” and list them here:
