Zig Ziglar once said “Making a big life change is pretty scary. But, know what’s even scarier? Regret.” We have all had those times in our lives, where you find yourself coming to a fork in the road and you then decide should I take it or not. This was a decision that one of our own newest South Texas culture team member’s Kalyn Cryer faced and decided to join our Novo Nordisk family working in the Beaumont Texas territory.
Hi Kalyn, how are you? I’m doing great!
How long have been with Novo Nordisk? Coming up on 2 years
What can you tell us about yourself personally/professionally and how you came to Novo?
My experience in the diabetes industry has included working as a pharmacy technician, Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, insulin pump trainer, and pharmaceutical representative. Through my experience, Novo has consistently distinguished itself through the quality of the research and products as well as the skillset of the representatives. I knew I wanted to be a part of that, and I am so thankful to be working here.
What’s the most exciting part of your job?
The most exciting part of my job is the constant variety it offers. I love engaging with diverse individuals both within and outside our company. I’m able to gain valuable insights from others and pass that knowledge along. I can honestly say, there’s never been a boring day at NNI.
What’s something you’re most proud of?
I take great pride in the teamwork and collaboration I share with my territory partner, Bill Fawcett. We work honestly, ethically and diligently to best serve our providers, their patients, and one another. Our partnership is free of judgement, and we consistently support and coach each other to strive for excellence. We also have a lot of fun, which is equally important.
Where would you like to see yourself in 10 years?
I aspire to hold a role where I can make a positive impact on others. I have a passion for education and find immense joy in witnessing others’ growth and development. In the future, my ideal position would encompass these elements that bring me personal fulfillment in my work.
