PRAYER FOR A SICK PERSON
When St. Gertrude was about to pray for a sick person,
she asked our Lord what prayer would be most pleasing
in his sight, and received this answer: Say the few
following words for him with a devout heart; and as
often as you repeat them, both you and the sick person
shall receive a notable increase of merit. Those who are
sick may say this prayer for themselves, making the
needful changes.

LORD Jesus, I beseech thee, by that love
wherewith thou didst bear all our languors and
