2023 CLEARFIELD CANOLA CAMPAIGN
We recently launched our Clearfield program for the 2023 growing season, which is a very important part of the success at our Ste,
Agathe, MB and Warden, WA processing plants.
This year’s program continued to incorporate feedback received from our growers and Customer Account Reps to strengthen our
product offering and ensure uptake. Some key features include:
• All time high premiums
• Full “Act of God” on basis contracts
• Optional 10 bushel “Act of God” on flat price contracts
• On-Farm Pickup
• Full production to be accepted
• Five different delivery windows to choose from
Viterra is Canada’s biggest expeller pressed domestic canola crusher with our facility in Ste. Agathe, Manitoba, where we take delivery
of both Clearfield and Nexera IP canola throughout the year. Through their IP contracts with Viterra, farmers who grow Clearfield
are supplying canola that creates a high stability, heart healthy canola oil that is used by our North American food customers in
products such as popcorn, potato chips, margarine, salad dressing and much more. This market continues to grow and Viterra is well
positioned to take advantage of this demand through its strong grower and end user relationships.
So far this year, we’ve been making good strides against our targets having contracted 105,000 acres which is 30% of our annual
target. Thank you to our CAR team for their hard work and dedication to our program to date. As part of this year’s program we have
been recognizing CARs who have had exceptional weeks during our campaign. So far, we’ve recognized:
Michael Gane, White Star Andy Cory, Boissevain
Kristy Robinson, Lethbridge Selena Vachon, Tisdale
Jennifer Spriggs, Moose Jaw Katrina Delaquis, Rosser
We will continue to provide recognition for the duration of the campaign and encourage our CAR team to keep up the great work in
meeting this year’s Clearfield targets.
