How can leaders foster a culture that helps women break barriers and achieve professional growth?
Women are empowered to speak up and take risks when they have a strong support network, whether
its other women or male allies who advocate for them, share resources and create opportunities. These
leaders encourage women to advocate for themselves, seek opportunities and take calculated risks in their
career paths. Leader can also encourage a growth mindset that encourages women to view challenges as
opportunities to grow rather than obstacles.
Leaders can create an environment that allows women to thrive, break barriers and reach their full potential.

Why is it crucial for women to actively contribute to workplace decision-making?
The active engagement of women in decision-making processes within companies is essential, both for
equity considerations and for efficiency reasons.
By integrating our perspectives, we enrich collective thinking and contribute to more informed decisions.
Women bring unique experiences, skills and points of view that strengthen strategic thinking, allowing
challenges to be approached from various angles.
I am very happy to say that my points of view and dynamism at work are well appreciated by the Viterra

How can managers support women so that they feel empowered and drive positive change?
By creating a supportive environment where women are given equal opportunities, recognition, and
resources to grow, they’re empowered to make significant contributions to the organization.
Throughout my career, mentors have supported my technical and professional development, which has
prepared and allowed me to participate in large domestic and global projects across various departments
and confidently contribute to discussions affecting the project’s success. The trust of my mentors and
leaders has been essential to allowing me to become a valued member of Viterra.

How can developing a mindset of self-empowerment help women overcome workplace challenges and
advance in their careers?
When I moved to Canada, I had to rebuild my career from the ground up while ensuring my children were
adjusting well. I initially struggled with cultural differences in the workplace, as well as the challenge of
proving myself in a new environment. Instead of letting these difficulties discourage me, I took a proactive
approach. I sought mentorship, attended professional development workshops, and continuously upskilled
to enhance my qualifications.
Empowering oneself means turning challenges into growth opportunities, building a strong support system,
and embracing lifelong learning. My journey has taught me that with determination and the right mindset,
women can overcome barriers, make an impact in their workplaces, and continue advancing in their careers.
