2. Indefinite Articles
“A” and “an” are articles that denote more
common nouns. The characteristics of nouns
that can be shown with indefinite articles are
nouns that are not specific or uncertain. Well,
the article "an" is used for nouns that start with
a vowel (a,i,u,e,o).
Example: An hour , An ant , An egg
Meanwhile, for nouns that begin with a
consonant or consonant use the article "a"
Example: A cat , A bottle of lotion , A cup
A preposition is a word used to connect a noun with another noun in a
sentence. For example in the sentence "I put my pen on the table". In
this sentence, the preposition on is used to show the relationship
between the nouns my pen and the table. The relationship is a relation
of location, the use of the word on indicates that my pencil lies on the
table.
Prepositions of place are words used
to express information about the
location or location of an object.
According to the English book entitled
Collins Cobuild English Guides,
Prepositions (1991), prepositions
consist of 100 words.
