Page 111 - Frank Rosenow "Seagoing Knots"
P. 111
FRANK ROSENOW has spent a lifetime with
the sea, growing up on a small island, going
to sea in his teens, and racing and cruising
sailboats all over the world ever since.
As a columnist for Sail Magazine, he has
won awards for his pencil and watercolor
drawings on maritime subjects.
Although he was trained as a sailmaker in
his native Sweden, he can be found most often
with a foot on the tiller and a paintbrush in
hand.
A self-taught artist, he invariably draws on
location, letting the occasional spray mark
authenticate his bold watercolor paintings.
