The Flip-over Sheet Bend

Note the difference in “starting position” between the flip-over bowline
and ditto sheet bend. I would advise the reader to become proficient in the
flip-over bowline first. The execution of the knots is the same, with the dif¬
ference that the bowline makes a fixed loop and the sheet bend joins two
lines.
Take one line end in each hand and place as in the drawing showing
hands position. Twist your right hand clockwise away from you, making a
