up, but she wanted to make Ralph feel better. So she said quietly,
“Sit down a minute and relax, brother. I’ll tell you why things can’t
be perfect.”

“Things can’t be perfect,” began Sheila, “because there’s no way
to divide a baker’s dozen evenly in half.”
