Jury-rigged

I suddenly became aware of our location. We were in front of
Curtis E. Carr’s instant printing shop.
“Mr. Carr is the sole remaining juror, apart from the disabled Eva
Reddy, with any writing or publishing skill. His trip out of town, like
Beryl Creighton’s, was presumably to consult a literary agent. That
can be established easily. Your account of the jurors’ circumstances
on the murder nights was of value in establishing the possibility of
their being perpetrators, not just potential victims. Curtis E. Carr had
no solid proof he stayed here all night when Rea Rainger and Beryl
Creighton died. That is enough, given the other factors, to establish
probable cause. Let’s take him in for questioning and search his
        premises.”
Mutely I got out of the car and followed her into the shop. Carr
        struggled less than I did.
