And Apis, weary from his long and difficult day, flew into one
after another of Fraxinella’s flowers. He left a smudge of Prince
Dittany’s pollen in each, and took a few sips of nectar for his trouble.
Then, thrumming his tiny wings against the air, he ascended to a
point just above her and the thicket of roses, in order to find the
direction of his hive.
