Now the alphabet was really getting into the holiday spirit. Some of the
letters who were normally very shy got into conversations with other
letters, and said things they’d always wanted to say but were too
embarrassed to mention.
M went up to W and said, “I’ve often wondered about our strange
similarity: you look just like me, upside-down.”
At first, W was offended, having secretly thought the same thing about
M. But then they both laughed, and decided to try something completely
different. They found K and X, and convinced them to jump up on top
of W; then M took a mighty leap, linking them all together in a big
diamond.
“Hey! Look at us!” they shouted.
