Awake! For Mutton in the Bowl of Soup
Has filled the spoon beginning now to droop:
And Lo! The Builders of the Road have caught
The Sultan’s Mazda in an endless loop.
Awake! For Morning in the Bowl of Night
Has flung the stone that puts the stars to flight:
And Lo! the Hunter of the East has caught
The Sultan’s Turret in a Noose of Light.
