The Plastiphage considered this strategy. “Yes!” it said suddenly, the
Languex injecting a bit of enthusiasm into the translation. “I think it
would work. Adjust this device so that I may address my humans, and
please start preparing for our departure. I am getting very hungry!”
Captain Kaga turned up the Languex to full volume and indicated
to the Hierotechs that they should listen carefully. As the Plastiphage
began to speak in their own language, they jumped and some of the
younger acolytes ran away. After the speech was over, the priests
gathered together and began talking loudly. Captain Kaga, leaving the
hall, noticed that Stimgage had a broad grin on his face.
Lugo was sitting up when Kaga entered the room. “Well,” he said,
‘‘did you find a solution to our problems?”
“Oh, yes,” said Kaga, packing up his things. “All it took was an act
of a god.”
