Speaker Biographies
Dellie Champagne, Children’s Behavioral Health Community Engagement Coordinator, New Futures
Dellie is the Community Engagement Coordinator for the NH Children’s Behavioral Health Program. Dellie’s work includes education, outreach and relationship building with the community, stakeholders, and partnering organizations. Her efforts help to build a compassionate constituency of mental health advocates comprised primarily of children, youth and families. Dellie received her BA in Sociology and her M.Ed. in Education from the University of New Hampshire. Dellie’s passion for mental health awareness comes mostly from her lived experience. Her son lives with Schizoaffective Disorder and Dellie has advocated for his needs from the onset. She chairs the Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness (PAIMI) Council for the Disability Rights Center and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Disability Rights Center and NFI North. She was recently awarded the 2017 Champions for Mental Health Award from Riverbend CMHC and the 2019 Citizen of the Year Award from the NASW – NH Chapter.
Karen DeSchryver, Ph.D., National Consultant, Edgenuity
Karen’s educational career spans over 26 years with experience as a school psychologist, counselor, district academics and data director, co- designer of blended leaning plans for urban and rural districts, U.S Department of Education/WestEd monitor, and edtech sales and support. She is an award-winning presenter on how edtech can help a district meet state and district goals and has been recognized for her outstanding collaborative performance. Her presentations are lively, humorous and engaging, and she is a firm believer that no two districts are similar, thus no two presentations are similar. Karen lives Denver, CO. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Philosophy and Design from University of Denver. She and her husband are owned by their two teenage daughters and a Golden Retriever.
