A Reunion of Firsts
Ours was the first MHS reunion in at least a century, maybe ever, to be postponed by a pandemic. Our 50th reunion became 50+1. As a
result, our class was the first to celebrate our 50th at the same time as another MHS class (1971). We were likely the longest running
MHS reunion committee, having started in August 2019 and finished with the 50+1 reunion in July 2021. We were the largest reunion
committee and the first to have members all over
the country.
We were the first reunion committee that met
virtually via Zoom.
Our class was the first to have multiple
mini-reunions, some virtual and some in
person, between our planned 2020
reunion and the actual reunion in 2021.
We also kept the excitement and connections
going through an active Facebook group.
We created and produced the first MHS Reunion Week
We were the first reunion committee that located nearly 100% of
classmates who graduated with us (plus a few who didn’t). Scramble & Mingle, open to any
MHS graduate.
