There was a lot of fun to be had in ancient Egypt . . .
The sunny climate was ideal for outdoor games such as leapfrog, tug of war and acrobatics. Just like today, ball games were popular. The balls were made out of papyrus or leather with straw stuffing.

There was no football back then, so don’t bother looking for hieroglyphs about a game between Sandchester United and Tutankhamun Hotspur, because you won’t find ’em.
Juggling
Instead, juggling was the in thing. If you know any clowns with a time machine, tell them to get back there pronto – they’ll be a big hit.
One ancient painting even depicts a mouse juggling!
