Series Synopsis
Lucy and Milo now know the incredible TRUTH about Sticky Pines: that this sleepy little town in the Pacific Northwest of the United States is overflowing with shapeshifting creatures of unknown origin, many of whom are adopting human forms while their kin pose as animals. Not only that, but these “Pretenders” have lived, undetected, amongst the local populace for decades,
if not centuries. However, Milo and Lucy interpret the events they have witnessed very differently. Lucy believes that her friends and neighbours have proven themselves harmless, unless driven to self-defence by the actions of greedy dillweeds. By contrast, Milo, who helped save his father’s life after he was almost killed by the destructive powers of the “Pretenders,” strongly concludes that this mysterious species is a threat to humankind.
