SIX point star
FIVE point star
Make sure your twigs are all about the same length. You may need
to get a grown-up to help you cut them with scissors, a knife or even a saw, depending on how thick your sticks are.
Take two twigs and place them in an upside V-shape, with the ends overlapping a bit.
If you are making a five-point star, lay another twig across the middle, about a third of the way down from the top, like a letter A. Use the fourth and fifth twigs to connect each of the long arms of the third twig to the ends of the upside-down V.
If you are making a six-point star, lay it across the bottom of the other two twigs to make an upside-down triangle. Use three twigs to make another triangle just like the first, then turn it upside down and lie it on top of the first triangle.
SHINING STARS
Sparkly stars are a perfect way to bring beautiful light into your home during the dark winter months. You can hang these stars on a tree,
a mantelpiece, or anywhere you like!
You will need:
five or six smooth, straight twigs for each star
craft glue
jute twine, cut into about 12 small pieces per star, each about 12-15 cm long
silver or gold paint (optional)
narrow shiny silver or gold ribbon (optional)
