Confetti is fun to throw in the air at celebrations or to put inside balloons or a piñata for parties. However, most confetti is made of plastic or paper which then causes litter and pollution, so some people are choosing not to use it any more.
If you still like the idea of using confetti, don’t worry! You can make your own beautiful multi-coloured confetti which is perfectly safe for the environment and also great fun to make. It will keep for months if you put it in a Tupperware pot or any box with a lid. And when it falls to the ground outside, it doesn’t matter because it will biodegrade into the earth and help to make lovely soil for plants to grow in when the spring comes again!
