    CHARLES DICKENS (1812–1870)
This quote describes very well how we might look out of the window in March and think, “It looks lovely out there!” only to go outside and find ourselves shivering our socks off! At least the days are getting longer though.
‘March’ comes from the Roman word Martius. The month was named after the god of war and farming. That might seem a strange combination, but both war and farming began again in March after the long winter months. Even soldiers didn’t like getting cold and wet!
